Danosaurs, Phillions and Elephant Necklaces.

Hia!
So as I briefly mentioned in my last post, I've become slightly Dan and Phil obsessed.  To show you exactly how embarrassingly obsessed I am I have an example:
So this morning I came downstairs, went on my phone to check on the Phandom accounts (Phan means Dan and Phil). I then ate breakfast while watching Phan sims videos for about an hour or maybe two.  Then I watched all the Philisnotonfire videos.  And then I watched a video about procrastination... Which then made me remember that I still had to do half of my homework AND violin practise, it was at that EXACT moment that my brother and dad arrived home...
It is now 2:55pm and I'm sitting in a cafe, my homework and violin practise still not done. Yeah...I think I may be procrastinating without even knowing that I'm doing it?!
Does anyone else do this or am I a rare Procrastinating-y Creature?
Do you see my problem here?

Anyways, a few days (or weeks) ago I did a February Fancies video which featured a super adorable elephant necklace...and I bought the necklace!
I couldn't find the silver version in the shop but I think the gold actually looks amazing.
So what are your thoughts on procrastination, youtubers and Elephant jewellery? I'de love to know what you all think so please comment!

#Nicer Internet

Hia!
So lately I have been slightly obsessed with the two youtubers called Dan Howell and Phil Lester. As you may or may not know it was Nicer Internet day a week or so ago and Dan Howell organised a radio show about Internet safety with a few other vloggers. I personally found it really interesting and re-watched it a few times.  I really like the idea of an Internet where nobody is mean or hateful and everyone is allowed to air their opinions as long as they are respectful.
As I don't own a twitter account but still wanted to spread the message I decided to do it here on my blog.  Even though I may not have a lot of followers I still feel like if I spread the message to even one person and even if it makes them change one little word in a comment they were about to post I would be so delighted.
I pledge to think twice before posting a comment or post and to be more aware of the fact that someone else is at the other side.

Please have a think about this and watch the video I linked above, I found it extremely interesting. Do  you feel you have anything you need to change about your internet self? If so please respond in the comments!

Sweet Little Things

Hia!
Earlier today I went on a bit of a shopping day with one of my friends and I thought it would be fun to show you the wonderful things I got, so here are some pictures. I hope you like them!

I adored the lace on these and I think they look really sweet over tights (like in the photo). These were only €4.99 in New Look so this is definitely a bargain!

This is a really sweet and very vintage set of lace ribbons. The pink and yellow ones are thicker and the blue and white ones are thin and more delicate. These are really nice to tie around the handles of drawers or wardrobes and you can also use them in your hair. These cost €5.50 in Arts and Hobbies but you could probably find similar ribbons in other craft stores.

After all that shopping I had to have some food, I thought the dessert was just too yummy not to post so here it is (and no I didn't eat all of it as it was super rich and very big)

Spring

I hope everyone is having an amazing spring, I'm busy at the moment with school so sorry about the lack of posts compared to Christmas time.
Starting to get a bit of a spring feeling and that makes me so happy that I could actually burst! I am finding it so hard to do my violin practise at the moment because all I can think of is how I could be doing much nicer thing like going for a walk with my camera and my dog. I've started walking home from school on Fridays and I really love that although its still a bit chilly so I have to wear a coat and gloves.
I'm off to practise violin now, see you all as soon as possible!
Lots of love and internet hugs,
Kate

Thinking of Summer

Hia!
So earlier this week I felt sort of bad because after the 10th of February or so I start to wish for Summer and Autumn and I was thinking about how 2014 has gone so fast and how I shouldn't wish for time to pass. So I decided after having a good think about it that I should try to make the best of Spring 2015 instead of wishing it away. I made up my mind that each time I started to wish for Summer that I would do a small nice thing for myself.
And the first thing that I did was paint my nails in some bright, fun colours. (Hot-pink and coral!)
My nails aren't too clear in this but I thought the ice-cream looked delicious (it tastes just like it looks, delicious)

Tomorow night I'll be having a sleepover with my best Chummy so I'll have plenty of really yummy photos for you all on Thursday, look forward to that!
What do you guys think of Spring? What's your favourite month?

February Fancies

Hia!
So today I'll be doing a little post on things I want this February! I've seen lots of other blogs doing this and I always find this type of post really interesting. So I'll be posting a picture of the thing I fancy and I'll say where you can get it!

I spotted this while browsing on the Boohoo website, I thought it looked sweet. If you are looking for a pretty jumper that you can wear until the weather gets warmer then this is the perfect buy!

Price : €25

Next up I spotted some pictures of these on pinterest, I'm not quite sure where you could get them but I spotted something similar to this in Bershka a month or two ago so they might still have them there.

Price: Not sure
Sorry about the awful cropping on this, I found this on the Not On the High Street website, this is slightly pricier than one of the other things but I thought it would look really nice with a striped top and jeans.

Price : €26.33

I found this while browsing on the New Look website. I really adore the design and I think it would be perfect with a red or blue jumper.
Also if you find that barely any pants fit you right (like me) skirts are such an easy option!

Price : €17.99

I just realised that, if you grabbed some tights, this would be a really nice outfit!

I have the bracelet version of this and I wear it so much more than my other bracelets because it doesn't slide up and down my wrist and it looks really pretty and delicate. I spotted this in Accessorize when I was in town the other day, sadly I didn't have any money on so I have to wait another while to get it.

Price : €7.90

PS: It also looks much more expensive than it actually is.

I found these amazing sunglasses in New Look, I couldn't take a screenshot of the picture of them not on the model but this is what the side looks like:

Price : €9.99

I hope you liked this post as it took a while getting those screenshots (some websites are very fidgety and its hard to get screenshots of the product). I would love to know what everyone else fancies this February! Also if you have any tricks on taking screenshots of the New Look website please tell me! I find it so hard to find clothes this time of the year, how about you?

Sunday

Hia! Today I just thought it would be fun to show you all what I do on normal weekends as most of my posts are about special days so you don't really get to see what my normal everyday life is like.

I usually wear normal but pretty clothes during the weekends because I love to dress up a bit and it makes me really happy. Its also nice if I feel like taking a selfie for the blog because I never have to change clothes.

At 12-ish I usually have a small lunch and sometimes I head over to a nearby café or I go with my mum to a café in town. Today I had a gluten free cupcake that looked absolutely superb but was a bit too soft and sweet for my taste, I still took a photo!

I spotted 'Love, Tanya' by the fabulous Tanya Burr in Easons and picked it up straight away. I'm sorry about the horrendous editing in this photo but the room was quite dark and my hand shook a bit because I like to have a low ISO. I tucked myself up in a blanket and read the first three chapters, I had to stop myself from reading anymore because I always read my books too quickly and am left with nothing to read! I might do a review on this when I'm done so I won't say anything else about it except that it feels just like Tanya herself is sitting next to you telling you about herself.

I then practised violin for a while. Clowns, Scherzo, Concerto, Study and some scales(I hate the scales).
I did this for about thirty minutes before heading
downstairs to go on my phone.

After that I was bored so I decided to do an artsy shot of me dreamily looking out of the window.

Now I'm at the kitchen table on the laptop, biting on my lip and trying to think of what to say next and how I should probably do more violin practise. I might actually do that now...

Have a super nice Sunday!
Lots of love and internet-hugs

Book review: Love, Tanya

Hia!
Today I'll be doing a quick review of the book Love, Tanya which is written by Tanya Burr

The Cover:
I really love a book that looks good on my bookshelf and this book definitely ticks that box. The colours are really pretty and bright.

Writing Style:
I think this is definitely the most important part of a book. Some books are written in a style that you love and others aren't, its as simple as that. For example: Roddy Doyle's style of writing annoys me as I find it sounds quite childish and meaningless whereas I really love John Green's writing style as it feels very personal and interesting. Tanya's style of writing is more blog-ish and less book-ish but I feel like it works in this book. It feels just as if Tanya herself is sitting next to you telling you about her life. I guess if you don't like Tanya you won't be too big a fan of this book! I personally enjoy Tanya's style of writing although it did feel slightly rushed towards the end of the book. I believe she should have spent more time in this part of the book as I felt it was the most important part.

Ideas in the Book:
Tanya created a really warm, fuzzy feeling that stays with you throughout the book, a bit like Girl Online. Although I don't agree with all the ideas in the book there is one quote that I really adore... it goes something like this
"Success is loving yourself, loving what you do and loving how you do it."
I feel like even though I haven't heard of this quote before I have sort of lived by it for the past few years. I like how Tanya's mum learnt to be an English teacher despite leaving school. It really shows that no matter who you are, if you work hard enough, it will work out in the end. I understand that some people will find things in the book that they really love and live by that I would barely notice and vice versa. It is quite a personal book so it means something different to everyone.

Overall I really liked this book and writing a review on it helped me to appreciate it even more. I hope that this helps someone to choose whether or not to buy this. If anyone wants me to review any other books I would really love to!

Chocolate-y Churros!

These are absolutely heavenly despite their un-churro-like appearance, they are all pastry-ish on the inside and biscuit-y on the outside. Lightly coated in brown sugar then dipped into melty milk chocolate, that previously blew up in the micro-wave (It needs to have blown up in the microwave to achieve the right taste and texture). Sorry for the short post, its hard to right more than a paragraph on chocolate-y churros.
